Golf is huge in Naples, Florida. Virtually all of our clients play at least some of the time they are in Naples….and there is no shortage of places to play.
Being from Alaska, I can’t say that I have spent much time playing. The season is very short there, unless you’re prepared to pack orange balls and snowshoes in the golf bag. When I first arrived in Naples, one of Nancy’s oldest clients invited me to give it a try – what the heck…whack a ball, go chase it, and whack it again – how hard could it be? After a very long afternoon and on the way back to the clubhouse, the client looked at me and asked how old I was. I told him and he said “you know, you’re probably never going to be very good at this. I’ve played for over 60 years and spent at least $100,000 in lessons. I know exactly what I’m doing wrong.” Needless to say, I’ve retired my golf game, much to the delight of the other golfers, wildlife, and various low flying aircraft and birds. I tell this story because I live in a golf course community and love the views of perfectly manicured green spaces and “parks”. Even if you don’t golf, you may find a golf course community to your liking.
I’ve divided the golf course communities you’ll find in Naples, Florida into three categories –
Golf Inclusive (Bundled) – Good alternative for part-timers.
Golf Optional, Social Membership required.
Golf Optional - Some of the finest courses in Florida.
